We currently face an epidemic outside the scope of historical precedence, with more overdose deaths (largely attributed to Fentanyl) occurring annually than in any previous era. Precision K9 Shaping’s Narcotics Detection Services has never been more important. We offer canine narcotics detection for families, business owners, schools, rehabilitation facilities, and more.
 
OUR DOGS AT WORK
This epidemic affects us all, directly impacting our family, friends, and businesses. To combat this problem, we must take an aggressive approach at the community level. Precision K9 Shaping is on the front line in this battle. We cannot wait for the government to address this catastrophic problem; local law enforcement entities are woefully (unfortunately) understaffed and unable to address the volume of work required. Precision K9 Shaping has certified narcotic dogs/teams available for contract to the community. We have programs catering to small and large businesses, private residences, schools, and all private and public facilities. Our handler/dog teams are trained and certified to detect:

• Cocaine
• MDMA (ecstasy)
• Heroin
• PCP
• Methamphetamine
• Fentanyl

 
As well as the various derivatives and compounds in the above list, our dogs identify both pure AND residual narcotics odors. Consequently, outside odors or stimulants do not deter our dogs from accomplishing their work.
No Law Enforcement
Our contract is bound by a confidentiality agreement that keeps any findings discreet and strictly private; we are not in any way affiliated with a law enforcement agency. We operate on a simple ‘search and alert’ protocol. The handler will clearly notify the witness/contract partner of the suspected location of the narcotic and document the findings for review (commercial/residential client). Precision K9 Shaping does not take any further steps after detection. We do NOT have an agenda, nor do we question what follow-up is facilitated by the commercial/residential client.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING NARCOTICS DETECTION SEARCH
A homeowner or legal representative requesting a narcotics search must provide Precision K9 Shaping with permission to access the private residence, or public institution. Once permission is granted, all pets (regardless of the type) need to be temporarily escorted from the property; they are not allowed to interact with the handler/dog.

The handler/dog do a walk-through and identify concerns and areas where the dog may ‘alert’ (scent identification). Our teams are trained experts in doing their job quickly, efficiently, and most importantly, accurately.

WHAT IF OUR DOGS SMELL NARCOTICS?
If our narcotics team (handler/dog) do indicate they have located narcotics, the handler will mark the spot and verbally notify the client. We do not seek out/handle the narcotic, nor do we discard them. We simply detect them. Again, we are NOT law enforcement.
RESIDENTIAL NARCOTICS DETECTION SERVICES
Precision K9 Shaping has narcotic teams available to search private residences, automobiles, or any specific areas that may be the location of hidden illicit drugs. This program was designed to help family and loved ones identify potential drug issues, so they can offer assistance. Most importantly, we work with the hope that we can prevent tragedy, trauma, and devasting life outcomes.
Precision K9 Shaping’s goal is to help our clients confirm, or alleviate, their suspicions, and ultimately to enhance their peace-of-mind.
In achieving this goal, we emphasize discretion during our searches, so all parties can be comfortable with the protocol/outcome. We believe the results of our searches can help start the process of providing the care and assistance for your loved one’s recovery (if applicable).
COMMERCIAL AND EDUCATIONAL SERVICS
Community safety is our number one priority. Our dogs are utilized in servicing a variety of businesses, including hospitals and rehabilitation facilities, along with school settings. With a similar approach to our residential protocol, our dogs search commercial buildings, schools, universities, and public events. We employ the same ‘search and alert’ methodology as has proven effective in our residential applications.
REHABILITATION FACILITIES
Precision K9 Shaping has narcotic teams available for contract to search rehabilitation centers, clinics, hospitals, and halfway homes. We understand the safety needs of both staff and those recovering in treatment facilities. Our work can help a facility achieve a variety of positive outcomes: we seek to ease liability burdens, we can assist residents in these settings with regaining forward traction in their lives, we can prevent relapse incidents and protect against felonious recidivism, and we hope to save lives by minimizing the horror of drug overdose.
Our contract program schedules regular visits at times requested by the facility/administration; we do not interrupt the regular security procedures that may be present in a particular facility. We keep searches discreet and do not interfere with daily treatments.
SCHOOLS AND UNIVERSITIES SERVICE
Precision K9 Shaping has narcotic search capability for contract to search public and private school systems, college campuses, dorms, and supporting facilities. Drug abuse on school grounds presents a profound danger, most importantly in exposing our youth to crime, violence, legal proceedings, and even physical harm/death. We strive to ensure that our students have the benefit of a ‘clean campus’.  Utilizing our services can be seen as a pro-active approach to help minimize the risk of drugs derailing the array of benefits that accrue from ‘educational attainment’. Our program schedules regular visits at times requested by the educational institution/administration. These visits prevent and deter drug use, resulting in a safer environment for students and staff.
